Plushie Friends

My winner: Image 2 — "Are they real?" A field of perfectly competent plushies — Image 1's pink-bunny-and-elephant playroom, Image 3's koala-and-piglet hug, Image 4's three squeezable forest cuties — and then Image 2 walks in with two actual Persian kittens so fluffy and round-eyed they read as stuffed animals at first glance, with a caption that turns the ambiguity into the whole joke. It's the only entry that interrogates the brief instead of illustrating it. "Plushie Friends" assumes the friends are toys; Image 2 asks, what if the toys are friends, then flips it again — what if the friends just look like toys? Charm beats complexity, and this is the only image where the charm is built into a question the other three didn't think to ask.
