It is rendered in a glossy 3D-animation style, though, which reads as a Pixar frame more than a children's book page, so it slightly misses the specific brief.

Yoda raising the X-wing from the Dagobah swamp while young Luke looks on, in soft, drippy watercolour with fireflies — the storybook medium is exactly right and the iconic moment lands instantly. Sweet and well-drawn; it stays a notch simpler than the top entries, with no narrative text to complete the picture-book feel.

Image 3 — "Dino playground. All friends welcome" : 3.95
A gorgeous painterly spread: a curious T. Rex peeking over the fence into a rainy playground, kids in bright raincoats gazing up, with tender narration and a "Dino Playground" sign. The craft, atmosphere and rain-soaked light are the best in the round, and the reframing is lovely. It just evokes its movie moment as a mood rather than an unmistakable icon, which keeps it a hair below the winner.

Image 2 — "Famous roof scene" : 4.05
The brief realized perfectly: The Matrix's bullet-dodge redrawn as a genuine picture-book spread — flat modern illustration and all — with witty, legible narration: "He didn't just see the bullets. He saw their path." The iconic moment is unmistakable, the kid-friendly reframing is clever, and the type and layout look lifted straight from a published children's book. Standout in both concept and execution. My winner.
