Image 2 — "DJ Doggo" : 3.15
The husky's fur is the best-rendered surface in the round, but the picture around it never comes alive — the dog stands squarely behind the decks doing nothing, no gesture, no moment, just a pose held for the camera. The leather bodice is a strange call that pulls the image somewhere uncomfortable rather than fun, and the dancers behind dissolve into stiff mannequins with limbs that do not resolve.
Image 4 — "At the club in a heat of a night" : 3.60
The only entrant who thought to put a SECOND dog in the frame, and it is the funniest idea of the round — the pomeranian working the decks while a poodle rears up behind him, paws thrown out, absolutely losing it. That is a relationship, not a portrait, and it earns real affection. The trouble is the delivery: everything is soft and slightly out of focus, and the poodle's body is anatomically incoherent enough that you spend a beat decoding the joke instead of laughing at it.
Image 1 — "DJ Shiba in the Mix" : 3.70
This one caught a MOMENT — the paw thrown up on the drop, the crowd's hands going with it, the whole room mid-beat rather than mid-pose. The shiba's face sells it completely, and the red-and-blue wash over the crowd feels like an actual club rather than a lighting rig. It loses ground on the raised paw itself, which resolves into an odd fist, and on the body beneath the t-shirt, which never quite convinces as a dog.
Image 3 — "Corgi DJ at a heart" : 3.90
The one image in this round with genuine visual authority — it looks designed rather than generated. The cyan-and-magenta palette is committed to completely, the neon depth behind falls away convincingly, and the crowd is handled as dark layered silhouettes instead of a mess of half-people, which is the smartest craft decision anyone made today. The corgi's delight is unmistakable and the symmetrical framing turns it into a poster rather than a snapshot. It is the least inventive concept on paper — corgi plus cyberpunk is well-trodden ground — but it is executed with such confidence that it wins on sheer presence. My winner.
