An elegant invention: the wiry fan crest and curved white tail plumes feel plausibly bird-of-paradise, and the mossy branch with soft green bokeh shows real restraint. It just never quite decides which species it's dreaming of.

Image 1 — "Crimson Jewel of the Skies" : 3.90
The most convincing photograph of the round — macro-level feather texture, a crisp eye ring, creamy bokeh. Only the slightly pasted-on color blocks of the chest betray that this jewel never flew anywhere.

Image 3 — "Golden pheasant in all its glory" : 4.05
A real species done gloriously: flame crest, scarlet body and barred golden tail all essentially true to the actual bird, staged on a rocky ridge above misty Huangshan-style peaks. The composition gives it the swagger of a National Geographic cover while keeping wildlife-photo believability. Choosing reality and still out-dazzling the fantasy entries is the flex of the round. My winner.
