The Old Biker
Round 6
Image 4 β "The Modern Outlaw" : 3.50
Clean, sun-kissed and competent, with nice cactus-country staging. But it reads more like a Harley catalogue shoot than an outlaw β too groomed, too posed, little story.
Image 2 β "Route 66" : 3.70
The Amboy Route 66 sign and the 66 patch on the jacket tie theme and place together neatly, and the golden-hour light is lovely. The composition is a bit cramped though, and the sign lettering wobbles under close inspection.
Image 1 β "My way" : 3.90
That face is the star β wind-whipped grey hair, sun-cracked skin, a lifetime of miles in one squint. It loses points only for the gibberish tank badge and tattoo scripts that fall apart when read.
Image 3 β "Even bikers needs a rest" : 4.00
A biker who has stopped riding and just sits with the desert β the most honest reading of "old" in the round. The layered mesas, low sun flare and matte-black bobber make a beautifully cinematic frame, and the title's little story lands without a single garbled letter in sight. Composition, light and theme all pulling the same direction. My winner.
