A lone hatted figure stands still on a crosswalk as light-trail traffic streaks past beneath a swirling, Van Gogh-esque galaxy sky. It's the most artful and thematically true entry — a genuine pause held against the rushing momentum of the world, rendered in cohesive painterly style. Poetic and quietly arresting; it just stops short of the very top for leaning on a familiar Starry-Night idiom. My winner.
