Two seasons in one frame
Round 528
Image 2 β "The beauty of the seasons" : 3.63
Autumn on the left, spring meadow on the right, divided by a clean vertical seam. The colors are lovely, but it reads as two separate landscapes pasted together rather than one unified frame, and the abrupt join makes it the least integrated take on the brief.
Image 4 β "Two seasons: hiking" : 3.78
The same hiker on an autumn trail and a snowy mountain path, split down the middle. The repeated figure ties the two halves together nicely and the outdoor photography is crisp and appealing. A solid, relatable execution, even if the divide stays fairly hard-edged.
Image 1 β "Splitted between seasons Santa" : 3.85
A witty winter/summer split β Santa in his cozy fire-lit cabin on the left, his bare feet stretched onto a tropical beach (complete with a curious crab) on the right. The gag of Santa on holiday is genuinely funny and the figure carries continuously across the divide, selling the joke. Creative and well-built.
Image 3 β "The tree: two seasons" : 3.88
A single tree bisected into seasons β bare, frost-bound winter on one side, glowing golden autumn on the other, the lake and sunset light flowing across the whole scene. It's the most elegant answer to the theme: one cohesive frame rather than a split-screen, with a single subject embodying both seasons. Beautifully lit and conceptually clean. My winner.
