Intelligence has its limits

Intelligence has a speed limit. It's called reality.

Everyone's racing to build a mind smarter than us.

Fine. Say they win. A mind a million times smarter.

Now give it a job: cure aging.

It thinks for one second. A thousand ideas. Picks the best one.

And then?

It waits.

Because a lab mouse lives two, three years, and you can't hurry a mouse.

Because a drug trial needs real people, real bodies, years of real time.

Because to prove a pill adds ten years to a human life, somebody has to actually live those ten years.

No IQ on earth makes a tomato grow faster.

No genius shortens a pregnancy.

The universe answers questions at its own pace, and it doesn't give a damn how smart you are.

That's the part the hype skips. Thinking was never the slow part. Waiting for the world to answer is.

So next time someone promises AI will cure every disease in ten years, ask one question:

Who's going to wait for the results?

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe simulations get so good we skip the waiting, and a perfect model of a cell replaces the mouse.

But a simulation is still a guess. At some point a real body has to say yes or no.

The smartest mind in history will spend most of its life doing what we do.

Waiting.
