Half of all new music is AI. Almost nobody listens to it.
The flood is real. In June 2026, more than half of the tracks uploaded to Deezer every day were AI-generated, about 90,000 a day. And only 3% of listeners can tell AI music from human music.
But almost nobody listens. AI tracks make up just 1β3% of all streams on Deezer, and about 85% of the AI music it flagged was tied to streaming fraud. Part of that gap is Deezer itself, since it pulls AI tracks out of its recommendations and editorial playlists.
So who's at risk? People who write music-shaped sound for ads, stock libraries, game backgrounds and lo-fi playlists. Nobody there cares who made it π§ The songwriter people actually choose is safer for now, and the pattern line fits: a composer wasn't only writing notes. She was the person you believed meant it.
