Four times I actually said "wow" out loud

1. My first PC.
2. My first time on the internet.
3. My first smartphone.
4. My first conversation with AI.

That's the whole list. Four.

The next two won't be like that.
5. Riding in a car with no one driving.
6. Seeing a humanoid robot walk past me on the street.

And after those six?
7. The first time a machine says "No" to you.
Not an error. Not "I can't do that."
A real preference. "I don't want to."

1. Seeing someone you thought was dead, alive on FaceTime. And talking like themselves.
   Not a video. Not a memory. A model trained on everything they ever wrote and said, that continues to think after them. Your grandma calls you. And for a second you forget she's dead.
