Fifteen hundred dollars a year, for ads πŸ’Έ

Americans spend $511 billion on advertising this year. That's $1,500 per person. You paid it already, inside the price of everything. No refund exists. 🧾

Look at your last grocery receipt. The advertising is not on it.

It's inside the milk. Inside the razor blades. Inside the phone plan and the car insurance and the painkillers. Roughly $511 billion gets spent selling things to Americans this year, and every dollar of it comes out of a price someone paid at a till.

That's around $1,500 a head. Six thousand for a family of four.

You never approved it. You cannot decline it. Your ad blocker stops the ad, not the charge - the money left your pocket at purchase, months before the ad ever loaded.
